Meetingbrook Dogen
& Francis Hermitage Update
The light changes. The sun ceases falling and changes its posture. Autumn bows to Winter.
Buddha becomes enlightened. Christ takes form in our mind and body. Something having to do with numbers ends then begins at midnight Dec.31st.
All through these events, we wait, watch, pray, and smile to each other. We smile because this is what we carry when we have nothing else to carry.
The hermitage carries on the silent watchfulness of human life, dog life, cat life, mouse, plant, bird, and squirrel life. A quiet conversation takes place. We wish to speak with each other about how to share this place we call place-to-watch, place-to-listen, place-to-learn, place-to-be-with each other.
