All Events at MEETINGBROOK are free, open & informal
MORNING PRACTICE AT THE HERMITAGE.
Note: Cabin is always open and available
through winter for silence, meditation, or prayer. Morning practice Silent
Sitting occurs idiorhymically and in winter zendo (front room of
hermitage) through winter months. Whatever your tradition, let us remember
one another whenever we sit. As solitaries we remember community in
stillness and silence...
SATURDAY MORNING PRACTICE AT
THE HERMITAGE –
Weekly Lectio Divina: Sat, 6:45am-8:00am;
Monthly Mindfulness Retreat: 3rd weekend of the month, see Hermit’s Corner for details.(During
winter, this weekend is practiced on one’s own)
SUNDAY EVENING PRACTICE AT THE
HERMITAGE -- 6:00pm-8:00pm
Each Sunday evening, drop-in. Practice includes: Sitting
(40min), Walking, (10min), Heart Sutra Chanting, Table reading (10min),
Silent Eating (10min), Conversing (20min). Bell. Leave in silence.

our conversations are conversations. We read on-site from books as
springboards.
TUESDAY EVENING BUDDHIST CONVERSATION
AT BOOKSHOP 5:30pm-6:30pm
Theme - Maybe Zen, Maybe Not. A Practice/Study focusing on Buddhist Meditative
Tradition. Currently finishing The Wonder of Presence: And
the Way of Meditative Inquiry, by Toni Packer. Soon, Pema Chodron’s
writings led by Jory Squibb.

CONVERSATION AT BOOKSHOP 5:30pm.

Theme - Laura Soul-Friend Conversations. Wednesday Evening Conversations focus on Personal Practice & Laura
Soul Friend topics. (“Laura,” = various paths.) What, who, & how
of one’s spirituality. Topics will reflect an individual’s personal,
spiritual, psychological, intellectual practice, interest, or concern. Each
Wednesday some person, or some aspect of practice, will begin the
conversation.

FRIDAY EVENING INTERRELIGIOUS
CONVERSATION AT BOOKSHOP 5:30pm-6:30pm
Theme- Interreligious
Dialogue: Unveiling and Practicing Peace Between Ways. Readings from Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, and Native
Traditions. Currently beginning Bhagavad Gita and Its Message,
by Sri Aurobindo
SATURDAY AFTERNOON CONVERSATIONS
AT BOOKSHOP
12:00noon –Theme: The Many Faces of Death. Currently reading Who Dies, by
Steven Levine.
4:30pm-5:30pm: Theme - Tea, Poetry, and Literature. For one hour we’ll read and converse about poems,
a prose piece, essay, or short story. Bring with you anything you
wish to read.
MUSIC REHEARSAL AT THE BOOKSHOP
1:00pm-3:00pm (approx)
Every Wednesday and Sunday Afternoon. A group gathers. Join in. Also,
any other days for individuals. There’s a piano. Come rehearse with ease
in a public place, anytime.
